Claude Code

Claude Code is the official AI agent from Anthropic.

It can be used on the ARIM-mdx Jupyter / SSH server (jupyter.arim.mdx.jp). See AI Agentic Data Analysis (Jupyter + SSH Service) for how to connect. For long-running autonomous work, run it inside tmux so that it keeps running after you disconnect.

Installation

Run the install script.

curl -fsSL https://claude.ai/install.sh | bash

Authentication

Authenticate with one of the following methods.

• Browser login (subscription): Start claude and an authentication URL is shown. Open the URL in a browser on your local PC, log in, and paste the displayed code into the prompt on the SSH side.

• API key: Set an API key obtained from the Anthropic Console as an environment variable.

  export ANTHROPIC_API_KEY="sk-ant-..."
  

  Add this line to ~/.bashrc to keep it after you log in again.

Starting

Move to your project directory and start it.

cd <working directory>
claude
